He said, "It doesn't matter why you came, but that you came... because, after a while, one day you will come for the right reasons."
In the flame of the havdalah light the Rav looked vintage. And in the age-old sounds of the blessings I was connected to my forefathers, the neshama's (Jewish souls) of the past. A feeling of awakening stirred in me and seemingly in everyone else, all of us privileged to share his space. He inspired my discovery... I listened in depth to his words.
"And it will be, if you will do what I Command of you this day,
to love the Lord your G-d and to serve Him with all your heart and with
all your soul, I will give you the early and the late rain, and you will
gather in your grain, your wine and your oil... and you will eat and be
sated."
