BEN ISH CHAI, or Rav
Yoseph Hayyim, was a renowned author and rebbe of the late 19th century.
In his life, he became known for his saught-after opinions on halachic
decisions even outside Sephardi communities and today, these decisions are
considered to be of great halachic significance. He authored many works
covering sections of the Talmud, but his most famous work is BEN ISH CHAI,
a book based upon weekly Torah portions. The book is considered standard
reference in religious Sephardi homes and studied by Jews worldwide.
